A few weeks ago I asked for advice on where to find seed of Spencer sweet
peas in the US. The Thompson & Morgan catalogue was suggested in a number
of postings, they list nineteen varieties.
However, I thought everyone would like to know that I've now discovered
that the British seed company EW King will airmail seeds to the US - and
their 1998 catalogue lists 114 Spencer sweet peas, many illustrated in
colour, plus various old-fashioned types and mixtures. Payment must be by
credit card, they send details of the postal charges with the catalogue.
For a free copy of the catalogue (which includes many other flowers and
vegetables) write to them at EW King & Co, Monks Farm, Kelvedon,
Colchester, Essex, CO5 9PG, UK or fax them at +44 1376 571189.
Kings is one of Britain's smaller seed comapnies but they have a good range
and a good reputation for service.
