Re: Wild CA Grape Seeds


Actually, Muscadine grapes (Muscadinia rotundifolia) are propagated
commercially from green cuttings rooted in a mist bench. Muscadines will
root fine that way - but only about 1% of *dormant* cuttings will root.  
Dormant (hardwood) cuttings being the way most other grapes are propagated. 
Layering was the method used for muscadines before mist benches became
possible.
