There is a nursery near me called Bird Rock Tropicals that propagates
tillandsias from seed. They spread the seed on window screen stretched
over wooden frames and water it. That's about all they need to do! So
when you visit their greenhouse, it is filled with these wooden frames and
overflowing with a kazillion tillandsias. I think it was fiberglass
screen, the really flexible stuff with the tiniest holes.
They are on the net, at www.birdrocktropicals.com. The owner is Pam Koides.
Good luck!
