Evelyn: i would use oyster shell in preference to dolomite. dolomite is
only minerals; oyster shell has a lot of slow-release proteins also in it.
these supply supplements to the microrgs in your soil, which can flourish
(given enough dead biomass to fuel them). envirocordially geoff
