Not knowing much about this I hesitate to contradict anyone but in my research after Glider's email I did a search and found Norway Pine to be 'Picea abies'....but I could be barking up the wrong tree (Little joke)
  I had to do a bit of searching too, since it's been many years since my taxonomy courses.  Pine trees are the genus Pinus, while spruces are the genus Picea.   Since there are trees commonly called "Norway pine" and "Norway spruce", confusion is bound to occur. --
