hey, i stopped :) BTW why would Sysrinchium ( blue eyed grass) need to be
stratified when this area ( monterey california) hardly gets below freezing?
Does it have to do with them being on exposed hills ( which should be thremal
belts, therefore being warmer than valleys) or what? Most of Monterey
Counties wild flowers just need a good soaking to grow. Spring should be
glorious this year in monterey county, mariposa lily, owl clover, chinese
houses, cali poppy, clarkia, and most spectacular the sky lupine should be in
full force.
just a note, when the sky lupines here bloom, one place in
particular in my town looks like the low hills are blue. They get so crowded
with lupine it totally covers the hillsides.Right now its alyssum which makes
the roadsides look all white.
