In theory, a well ventilated alpine house should work the same.  Does your
seeds pots dry out at all under the window screening (glass)? I will assume you 
have an air gap between window screening and the seed pots to collect condensation
and to provide air movement.

With the alpine house,  at times it does collect condensation from the outside
air but with the forth coming of spring... I wonder what I should do related to a 
watering plan for non germinated seeds?.
