I thinks you'll find there are a lot of plants called 'hens and chicks' I
know of varieties of corn marigold and opium poppy by this name - so called
because there is a ring of smaller flowers around the main one on each stem.
It might be a good idea to get a description of the plant as both of these
are hardy annuals here.
