Re: Hardy Cyclamen seed germination (fwd)


If you put the seeds on top of a wet paper towel and then put towel and seeds
inside a plastic baggie with plastic side up, seeds on top of the towel, which
is on the bottom of the baggie, the germination of the seeds is visible and
the roots tend to avoid growing into the towel.
This will work for many seeds. Hope it works well for you. The trick is to
have one side of the plastic of the baggie open to light, with the seeds on
top of the towel visible..
On the other hand, Cyclamen will germinate well if you just plant the seeds in
a sterile growing mix. Perhaps easiest way.
