Re: winter propagation

Hi all,

Would be interested in knowing which woodies can be propagated now. Should
they be hardwood or softwood cuttings. Because of the unusually warm
weather we have had in zone 6, a lot of things never died back. Buddleia is
a great example. Can cuttings be taken now or do they need to be done while
actively growing? Also am wondering about Cotinus croggygria. If I direct
stick it now, will it leaf out and root by spring?

Did some ilex a couple of weeks ago and they are doing fine. What else can
be done now? That gardening bug is making me itch!

Thanks, Ginny
