Hello Phillip
You will have less problem with heat if you use HID. Most of the energy
transforme to heat, wich means that 720 Watt produces about 3 times as much heat
as 250 Watt. However there will be more heat in the light itself, so you have to
put the HID light more far away than the tubes. This will reduce the light
energy on the plant compared to tubes, they can be only some inch from the
plants.
