I'm curious about germinating seeds in paper towels & am going to try it.
In fact, I have a few chilling in frig right now.
They are ones that need stratification.
But can you use this method with seeds that need light to germinate?
And if you put the baggies in a warm place instead of the frig, won't they
grow mold or get nasty?
Also I would like to know if anyone has had experience with the following
seeds:
Kniphofia uvaria - germ. temps. listed from 41 to 68 degrees. Which is best?
Lychnis, Diamonds & Rubies -
Do the following need stratification?
Geum (Avens) - haven't seen this variety listed anywhere.
Physostegin virginiana (Obedient Plant) - what do they mean by "not true to
type from seed?"
Lychnis, Diamonds & Rubies -
Penstemon barbatus -
Thank you so much for all your help.
