After the stated time they have to be in the cold, you remove them and put
them under lights to get them to germinate.

I grew lychnis coronata last year from seed; was successful in getting a
number of plants into the ground, and a few even bloomed the first year;

I grew penstemon last year from seed, they did very well, no flowers though.
