Tropical plant - Durio zibethinus seed are recalcitrant (must be sown fresh
from the fruit - cannot be dried) and require temperature of at least 70°F
to germinate.
The plant, a fairly large (130' tall) tree, needs free draining, rich,
organic, growing medium and high humidity.
I have a durian sprout (from December) in a 2" pot, but I know the pot is
much too small and the plant cannot stay there long.
Happy propagating for the new millenium,
Matthew Sleigh
