Introduction from a new member.

Hello everyone.

I have only recently joined the group and would like to give you all a
little information about myself.

My first name is Malcolm but all my friends call me Mac.

Unlike most of you, I live in southern England (U.K.) and the climate
throughout the year is usually about minus 10 degrees centigrade in the
winter and about 30 degrees in the height of the summer.
I retired as a Civil Servant (Department of Transport) about 4 years ago
but have been interested in horticulture (particularly propagation) for
about 30 years as a serious amateur. For my sins, I am the Treasurer of a
large Horticultural Society which has been established for some 76 years.
I frequently give lectures to various groups on horticultural subjects -
among them being propagation and the growing of Begonias.
I have recently asked a question regarding how to save seeds of Fuchsias
from the plant's ripe seed pods and feel sure that there must be someone
out there who can help. I don't have trouble germinating the seeds that I
can buy commercially, but I cannot seem to save my own seeds.

Like most of you, I don't like 'junk' mail on the internet but will answer
any Email that is sent to me.
My regards to you all and here's wishing you all a very happy new year.

Mac.
