Forcing.

I'm about to embark on a MASSIVE spring bulb forcing project.

Can anybody tell me if Grape Hyacinths (Muscari Armeniacum) White Grape Hyacinths (M.
Botryoides) and Feather Hyacinths (M. Plumosum) take well to forcing in water? I'm using pea
gravel as a medium. The bulbs have been pre-cooling for about a month now, and I've finally gotten
some time to hunt down enough planters at thrift stores to "plant" the bulbs.

The reason I ask is that I've got nearly 400 bulbs combined of these varieties, and would prefer not
to attempt planting them outside anymore this season. I'd rather give them away as gifts, but need
to know if they'll take to blooming.

I also have a variety of Narcissus called "Van Sion" (Easter Pot Daffodils)- does anyone know if it will
work in water- or need I use the peat/vermiculite medium that I'm using for the tulips? And, are
"King Alfred" Daffodils forcible, and if so, in what medium?
