sowing in plastic bags

I have been following the discussion about sowing methods - paper towels,
zip-lock bags, etc. I have been sowing large numbers of perennials in
several years, but usually I have been sowing the kinds who needs a cold
period outside in fall or winter. I noticed that some of you used zip-lock
plastic bags, and sprayed the seeds, then locked the bag and put it in the
freezer. I want to try this metod for about half the amount of each kind of
seed that needs stratification. Does anyone have the experience with this
method for:

Helleborus (will sow H. niger, H. purpurascens, H. foetidus, H. argutifolius
and H.lividus, but in my experince most Helleborus are treated the same way)
Echinops
Eremurus
Dryas octopetala
Pulsatilla vulgaris
Cimicifuga
...and others....

What is your results with this method? I got the idea to put some moist sand
into the bag as well, have anyone tried that?
