How about a few mouse traps where they dig? Mark where they are though.
Having a mouse trap go off when they dig and disturb it scares them to
(nearly) death. A friend of mine did this for areas of the house that El
Gatto wouldnt respect(like the kitchen counter) and it worked well. Don/t
use any bait, just set it and when they dig close to it ...BOING!!! Fast
moving cat....It doesnt usually even touch them, just frightens them. A
few experiences are usually curative, and its apretty cheap solution......
