Pine cones & gardening questions

What species of pine tree(s) produce the jumbo pine cones (some are almost
12" long). Also, what variety(s) produces the tiny pine cones (they only
grow to about 1"). I have a farm full of loblolly, foxtail, etc. but would
like to get a few of these trees started just for interesting cones.

I'm an avid Virginia gardener. Would like to get some interesting varieties
of sedum started. Have Autumn Joy and a varigated leafed type with white
flower (don't know name). Sedums seem to have no known enemies and
propagate almost in mid-air.

Grow my own nandinas from the seedlings I find under my bushes. However,
have had no success germinating nandina seeds in a pot. Does anyone have
any suggestions about how to get the berry seeds to propagate? There must
be something I'm overlooking.

Perennials are my favorites. Love columbine, candytuft, clematis, any kind
of lily, dianthus, sweet williams, winter hardy bulbs, ground covers mums
and azaleas. My garden never seems to get finished. I'm at it all summer
while everyone else seems to have their gardens in. Can't stand for a
garden to be too precise. Am constantly adding, dividing, moving, changing.
Love cottage gardens and the look that what I've put in just "happened"
there. Love marigolds as an annual for color & filling in.

If I can help anyone, I'm here.
