I agree with you Duncan. My wish is that this list should give me a
"database" of methods for (mainly) seed propagation for different species.
Whenever I read a message containing (in my oppinion) useful information, I
transfer this message to a separate mailbox I have called "seed
propagation". This mailbox is the start of a database, and I hope it will
contain lots of useful information about germinating different species, in
time. If a message contains information how to germinate a species I am
interested in, I save it in this mailbox.
When you are subscribing to several lists, you will get lots of messages
every day, and it is a good idea to reduce the number of "not useful"
messages. It takes lots of time to read all! I am not trying to criticize
here, a posting can be useful to others even if it's not to me. I don't
expect this posting to be useful to all.

There is a lack of information about how to propagate different plants, and
this list could be very helpful for getting more information of that kind.

If you are looking for a source for seeds, please check my homepage. I have
listed lots of sources in USA, Canada, England, Germany, Sweden, Czech
Republic, etc.

Would it be useful to know what the subscribers think about this list? If we
all have a different wiew, and some are far from the intention Duncan had
for this list....?
It could be useful to clear up what this list should be used for.

Also a good proposal, Duncan.... If you want help for a seed source or
anything, "pay back" with some information about seed propagation!

Hope I didn't step on any's toes, and sorry if I filled your mailbox with
garbage....

Best wishes from Norway, in 5-8 C !
