City girl, now living in the country (by choice and design). Neighbor has
a pond currently overrun with small bluegills. He says "fish 'em out all
you want - more food for the larger fish", and it's easy to quickly fill a
large bucket with these 3-5 inch fish. My question is, is this a good
source for fertilizer for my garden ? We've all heard that the Indians
buried fish under their corn. Can I dig a trench - line it with fish -
cover with soil and plant ? I envision the raccoons having a big party.
Any other caveats ?
Sonnie
