When growing Restios I found that I recieved the best results in germination after
treating with smoke filters and giving the plants a period of cold weather (40F)
before I got much germination. They never seem to germinate until the night
temperatures drop and when they did they sprouted like grass in the pots. I agree
with loren about the temperatures I don't let any of my cape species get too close
to freezing it really decreases the germination.
