Duncan, I've had excellent success with Sarracenia and Drosera by the
following:
Medium: screened peat soaked with boiling distilled water. Place container
in saucer. Leave distilled water in bottom.
Surface sow seeds. Cold-moist stratify for 90 days (with saucer and water).
After removal, leave container covered with clear lid or leave in partially
open plastic bag. Warmth and lots of light but, no direct sun to avoid
steaming. Keep distilled water in saucer, at least 1/2". Bottom water
only. Takes at least a month to germinate. Good luck! judy
