Thanks for the help finding some info about my oddball species.   The
Paederota sounds like a good candidate for my climate.  The Nothoscordum
probably isn't hardy enough.  I'll sow it anyway,  and prove it by killing
it myself.  I forget which internet friend says it,  but someone I see on
line uses this great quote in his signature file.

"I consider every plant hardy until I have killed it myself at least 3
times"

or something to that effect.
