Marty, I think you may have removed the chance of flowers for your hydrangeas
this year. Don't worry too much about fertilization. Most hydrangeas bloom on
old wood. Cut them back after flowering, not before. You may get scattered
bloom in fall/winter, but not much until next year. You'll probably have a
great show next year though!
