I guess I didn't have the right email address to send in a gardening question--only had the one to get on the list. Is this right? I hope. Marty

Greetings all, I am in Woodside California-very near the Menlo Park home of Sunset Magazine. I don't know the zone--but it is California coastal. I did a large cut back of about 1000 square feet of hydrangeas last January and they are all green and lush but there are few flowers. Question: Is it too late to fertilize more and get some. I must have used the wrong fertilizer although I did not use much at all. I would appreciate any general or specific advice. Do I just not get much in the way of blooms in this first year after a large cut back? Marty
