Not in my experience with the other lists that I belong to. There needs to
be a bit of understanding on BOTH sides.
Duncan, do your remember that wonderful "Life of Mailing Lists" that you (I
believe) posted some time back? I think this list is somewhere about
Stage 5 (discontent with diversity), but the only person that seems
discontent is yourself. This is a good list, with lots of excellent
information, but I (and evidently others) fail to see how occasional
off-topic posts are detrimental to it. Certainly, there may be times when
a nudge back to the list topicis necessary, but I believe a bit more
diplomacy is in order.
