I have just potted up 50 rooted cuttings of Leucanthemum 'Esther Reed'.
I spoke to another commercial grower who stated that the window of
opportunity for taking cuttings is quite small for this, so I took them
before they bloomed. Nearly every cutting took.
I took stem cuttings, dipped them in Dip N Grow and stuck in Sunshine
Mix #1 with a bit of Kelp Meal mixed in. Kept on a 74 degree prop mat
and misted when the notion struck me. Excellent results. I removed all
the rooted cuttings from the cell packs yesterday and potted up into
gallons. They will fill the gallon by next spring.
