I purchased somw rooted cuttings of Mandavilla laxa last winter.
Pathetic little things that I kept on heat lest they shrivel away to
botrytis. They weren't more than 4 inches high. These have now reached
the 10 foot mark and are loaded with clusters of pure white, very
strongly scented (of gardenias!) blooms approximately 2 inches across.
I wish to propogate the plant as it is winter hardy here in Zone 8.
What I purchased was tip cuttings. I am wondering if I can take chunks
of the vine, each piece containing 2 nodes, and get each section to
root. There are many bumps on the surface of the soft wood internodal
sections, and I wonder if these are latent root tissues.
