Re: Hollyhocks

G'day, Everyone --
A week or so I started some hollyhocks from seed indoors in cell-paks w/clear
lids.
They are coming up real good.
But -- the last few that have come up aren't developing.
It comes up enuf that the seed lays on top of the soil but the leaves don't
open so the shell can drop off.  
Noticed some of this in the spring.  
But the seedlings would get bigger, leaves would start to come out of the
shell & then "get stuck" & not develop any further.
Surely some you have seen this & might comment OR advise me.
