I am growing Campanula lactifolia plants from cuttings this winter (Southern Hemisphere) and have noticed a lot of variability in rooting. The cuttings were from the lateral growths that develop on the stem after flowering and treated with softwood rooting hormone (1.5% IBA). Does anyone know a more reliable method of propagating C lactifolia in good numbers? BTW keep your delphiniums well mulched and watered in the high temperatures a lot of you are experiencing at the moment. We are more fortunate than you and have mere record rainfall and river levels to contend with.
