The limited experience I have had with propagating one or
two kinds of ceanothus from cuttings (usually midsummer or full)
is that it takes about 3 to 4 months and the success rate is not
high. The medium is about half perlite, half vermiculite, and no
bottom heat, but a plastic bag with small holes and hand misting
about every morning and evening. I suspect better results would be
gotten with an automatic misting system in a greenhouse.
