Linda, I've grown dierama from seed for two years using last year's seed sown
in spring. The first batch of seed was just placed in an envelope in the pods
to finish drying and stayed there until planted. The second batch went into
the refridgerator after drying. Both sown in commercial seed starting mix,
seed covered approximately 1/8 inch deep. Both methods gave good germination,
thought the first batch was lost to an unexpected spring frost :( The second
-this year's -batch, planted April 12 is about 6 inches high. I don't know how
long it will take to get to flowering size.
I think guara has been discussed before (check archives). I've just purchased
my first one so no experience with it yet.
