Common vetch is vicia sativa, crown vetch is coronilla varia, they may
be totally different in habit, find out which you have before you do
anything else. v.sativa the flowers occur in pairs in the axils of the
leaves, c.varia has a ball of flowers in the end of a stalk which comes
from a leaf axil.
This botanical name business is VITAL!
the vicias (tares) are used by farmers as green manure, they are also a
farmer's weed.
