Re: Tips on Tacca sp.?


I was able to germinate several Tacca seeds after placing the seeds with
just barely damp sphagnum moss - rather coarse, not the finely milled stuff
- and sealing them in a zip-lock type of plastic bag.  Keep on the warm
side and be prepared to wait (not 2 years, tho).  Make sure the sphagnum
does not begin to dry out

Unfortunately, I was initially not aware of the wait necessary and by the
time they germinated, I had sort of forgotten about them and the growing
tip had begun to rot.
