While I'm not personally familiar with Rainier Cherries, you might be very
disappointed to find out that the plants from seeds may not have the same
characteristics as the parent.
A much better bet would be to buy a Rainier Cherry from a reputable
nursery. One Green World in Molalla, OR carries them. Their web site is:

Here in Wisconsin, we usually have just grown the pie or sour cherries.
But newer varieties of the sweet cherries now do better. I have a
self-fertile Lapins variety. Made one cherry pie and a batch of Cherries
Jubilee that I used up over vanilla ice cream. Yum!
