My seedlings are still in their peat pots - I transferred them back in
early April from the starting mix to potting soil - had been taking them in
every night (before dark <g>) but gradually hardened them off. The
foxgloves are up about 2" but if they'd self seeded, I'm sure they'd be
bigger than that. One reader suggested I had depleted the soil of nitrogen
by overwatering - that could be the case so I'm going to rectify that.
This is zone 3 here in Calgary so there isn't time now for any of them to
mature. Most discouraging but we learn by our mistakes and I'll do better
next year.
