First of all, where is everyone? Swimming in all those seedlings that were
sown earlier in the season? People on the perennials list think we've all
mysteriously disappeared. I'll admit that things have been rather quiet
lately.
There was a discussion a while back about not giving up on seeds that hadn't
germinated. Well, I got tired of having to go down to the basement to check
on lights, water, etc. so I took a flat with non-germinated seed outside and
placed it in a shady area. Check it every once in a while and I was
delighted to see that my Coreopsis alpina have germinated! Now, I'm back to
checking everyday to see if something else might hear the wake up call.
I will heed the advice of some of you and leave the others that haven't
germinated for another year or so and see what comes of them. In the
meantime, I'm still tucking things that I started into their permanent
homes.
What are the rest of you doing?
Ginny
