I'm in PA zone 6, and I grow soybeans to eat green. I simply soaked them for a
couple hours(longer seems to make them fall apart), and then planted them
outside. It took almost two full weeks before I saw any germination, but they
are doing fine.
With temps in the 70's and 80's you should have no problem.
