Sprouting Rosa rugosa seeds

I suppose there is a special list somewhere for roses, but I don't
know where.


Anyone have any advice on getting rose seeds to sprout?
I have never had success in the past with seeds from multiflora
roses.  I've tried 6 week stratification and nicking the seeds
neither has worked.

This time I want to try with rugosa roses, but expect failure again
unless someone has some good suggestions.
