Karen asked:
<Does anyone know what seeds of this looks like? I have a friend that
purchased a dwarf variety of A. aethusifolius and collected seed for
me. We're not sure what is chaff and what is seed! We suspect that
they are dust-like.>
The seed of this Aruncus (like its tall cousin A. dioicus) has small
elongated seed, roughly stick-like in shape. But definately not
dust-like. If you have a magnifying glass, you will be able to see it
clearly with the naked eye.
The seed requires cold conditioning of at least 8 weeks, then warm for
germination. It is a wonderful small, tidy groundcover.
Cheers.
