Lantana

I would particularily like to know how to start lantana - I have never
been able to germinate it. I have soaked it, nicked it, smashed it,
let it sit in moist soil for 6 weeks, and never a seed did sprout. I
have also attempted to root cuttings in medium and in water. No
success. I don't see it on my germination databases. I am lantana
impaired, but very much want it in my garden this year without paying $4
per plant. Any suggestions? deborah
