Does anyone have information on germination of seed from Sinocalycanthus
chinensis
Don: I am personally unfamiliar with this plant but I have found one of my
books with a little bit of information - here is goes:
Sinocalycanthus chinensis. syn. Calycanthus chinensis
Propagation: Sow seed in containers in a cold frame in autumn. Root softwood
cuttings in late spring or early summer with bottom heat.
Information under the name Calycanthus chinensis says:
Propagation: Sow seed as soon as ripe or in autumn in an open frame. Root
softwood cuttings in summer, layer in autumn, or remove suckers in spring.
Not sure if this will help you but I hope it will some.
