Hi, Everyone,
I've got a couple of questions. I've started
my cosmos too early, I realize now, and want to know what to do to keep them
under control. I'm in Zone 5 and have about 5 weeks before they can be
taken outside. Can I pinch them back? If so, when can I do
this? They just have two leaves, and I've had to transplant them early
since their stems were getting too long. I have the newly transplanted
ones in my greenhouse, not under flurescent lights anymore--they
"stretched" too much to get to the light.
Another question, I was wondering where I could get
a soil thermometer for my seeds when I start them in the greenhouse in
seed-starting mix. I have only found one that was huge that one would use
outside to check on temp. in spring. Do any of you have sources that sell
them reasonably? (The one I found for outdoor usage was about
$10.00)
Thanks in advance for any help you can give
me!
Doris
