I have not personnaly tried the coar as a medium, however one of my
fellow hort students is the propagator at a commercial greenhouse and he
has used it. He brought some lilies that he had planted in it and it was
a wonderful media. Light, fluffy and very easy to work with. I've also
heard that it can be a bit irregular in texture, some quite fine with
large chuncks in it. I'm ordering some for next year.
