The subject common perennial is such a pest in my yard. I have to cut
the seed head off before they mature.
My method of propagating common columbine is, get
a coffee and walk to the plant of choise...Are the seed pods open? yes..
kick the plant and you will have hundreds of seedlings all over the place
next year.
I dig them up ever year and throw them away. THey are nice plants, but they
are a pest in my yard.
