I've successfully raised up lots of Lupines. There are two things you can do
for the seed coats. First, soak them in water for a couple of days. Or you
can cut this time down by *chipping* the seed coat with a pair of fingernail
chlippers and them soaking them. (You'll see them swell !) I think that alot
of my success has been in the cooler germinating and growing tempratures. I
tried a batch once that were at warmer tempratures and they died. To me cool
tempratures are a basement at 60F with no bottom heat, and only flourescent
overhead light.
