I use a shrimp fork - have for years - an unused item that came with the
tableware years ago. Sometimes I use a wooden skewer (keep a pack handy in
the greenhouse) for really tiny things, like the first Vinca to germinate,
while rest of seeds in the flat must go back into dark.
I've learned to water with a dropper immediately after each transplant.
I've also learned that even tiny seedlings can have amazing root systems
and to be very gentle when de-tangling.
