Hi--Thanks to El Nino, the frost is out of the ground. I have some
Aster cultivars such as A. nova-angliae 'Purple Dome' and nova-belgii
'Royal Opal'. Can I dig them up now and divide them or dig beside them
and try to separate off part of the root system without digging up the
whole plant? If so, I plan on putting the new pieces in a cold frame
for a little more protection until spring actually arrives.
Thanks,
Jean Halverson
