Take the brugmansia off the heat.  They like it around 65 degrees.
I also fooled around with it for weeks before finally resorting to
reading the seed packet.  Placed the container off the heat and one
sprung up nearly overnight.
(Moral of this story:  When all else fails, read the directions.)
